Faisalabad, the Manchester of Pakistan contributing major portion of Pakistan’s GDP holds a campus of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore since 2004. The reason of choosing Faisalabad city for establishing a campus of UET was Faisalabad being third largest metropolis and a major industrial centre in the heart of Pakistan. The campus has a dedicated area of more than 220 acres of land provided by the Government of Punjab.
